Our approach

KinoSync is an accessibility app, and we treat your data with the same care we put into access. We collect as little as possible, process the sensitive parts on your device, and never sell your information.

On-device sync

To keep your tracks in time with the film, the app briefly uses your device's microphone to find your place in the screening. This happens entirely on your device — no audio is stored, and nothing is transmitted or used for any other purpose.

What we collect

Account basics you provide (such as an email address) so you can sign in and manage your tracks.

Limited, anonymised usage and crash diagnostics to keep the app reliable.

Your accessibility preferences (chosen tracks, caption size, description volume) so the app remembers them.

How we use it

To deliver and personalise your accessibility tracks, keep you signed in, fix problems, and improve the app. We do not use your data for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with service providers that help us run the app (for example, app hosting and crash reporting), under agreements that limit how they may use it. We may disclose information if required by law.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time. To delete your account and associated data, see the Delete Account page or email us. We respond to every request.
